Daffodil Days

During Daffodil Days, join the fight against cancer by buying a bunch of daffodils for $7 a bunch or 2 bunches for $12. When you purchase daffodils from the Canadian Cancer Society, you provide a lifeline to everything we do: from research to maintaining community outreach programs, and advocacy. Volunteers will be selling daffodils at local grocery stores, drug stores, big retailers, shopping malls, LCBOs and Beer Stores throughout the Durham Region. Girls Day Out

Girls Incorporated of Durham's annual "Girls Day Out!" play day fundraiser is a great way to spend a day. This is a day for women to gather and try out new activities or join in on some old favourites.  From chocolate making or martini mixing to belly dancing or karate. Women ages 19 and up will enjoy themselves while benefiting Girls Inc. at the same time. Of the approximately 34 classes offered, guests will have the chance to participate in four of their top choice classes, along with an amazing lunch, silent auction, and much more. All the proceeds raised from this event go directly to support Girls Inc. programming which gives girls the tools they need to succeed. 3rd Annual FIT-A-THON

3rd annual FIT-a-THON, a fundraiser that benefits abused women and children who resides at DR. Roz's Healing Place. Participate, pledge prizes. Participants complete and/or are challenged in various fitness activities such as high energy aerobics, dance, circuit work outs, yoga poses etc. Participants collect pre-pledges that culminate into a fitness competition which puts their fitness to the test.

Ontario SPCA York Region Branch Microchip Clinic

Every year thousands of pets in Ontario go missing and many do not find their way home. Protect your pet by attending one of the Microchip Clinics being held at the York Region Branch of the Ontario SPCA. This permanent identification will allow finders to easily identify your pet should an accidental escape occur by providing them with important information to allow your dog or cat to be returned quickly and safely to you.
